libvarnishapi1 software package provides shared libraries for Varnish, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libvarnishapi1
libvarnishapi1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libvarnishapi1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libvarnishapi1 *
You will get with libvarnishapi1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
